Zlosela (evil village) was first mentioned in 1298 in documents in the formation of Šibenik diocese. The place changed its name in 1930 to Pirovac. The legend of the name Zlosela: The people of Pirovac were brave and cunning, and determined to defend their homes, but few in comparison to the Turkish invaders. That is why, in a small group, led by Urem Kapetan, they secretly left the fort and ambushed a Turkish officer. Thinking that the people of Pirovac was much more, Turks fled. In doing so, the Turks shouted evil villages, evil people. Pirovac is very beautiful place that has been well endowed by nature, and has decorated the valuable hands of few residents over the centuries with historic monuments of lasting value. Its bay is a natural phenomenon, 10 km cut in stone and Mediterranean vegetation. Beaches in Pirovac: beach of Hotel Miran, Lolić, Porat, Starine.
